Treadmill After 14 months

After 14 months of consecutive running outdoors and straight through last winter running outside, the weather today forced me inside to run on the treadmill. It felt weird having gone so long not running on a treadmill. It was hard to not run outside but it was too icy and too dangerous. Snow and cold is no issue but ice is a killer for runners.

  1. Boy, that's dreadful. Have you tried out the screw in the sneaker trick on Matt Carpenter's site?

    Or the La Sportiva Hobnails?

  2. Amen, brother. I've run in every condition and I despise treadmills. But ice is too dangerous. I have a couple indoor tracks that I can resort to if I really need a run.

  3. Thanks Tuck. I'll check out Matt's site. That could be the answer. I don't mind going very slow in winter conditions as it surely beats the treadmill.

Agave, you are lucky. I'd love to have an indoor track close by. I guess this is the price you pay for living in places like this although the winters are beautiful.
